I’ve been traveling internationally for most of my life. But the idea of leading others abroad didn’t come from luxury travel or curated itineraries—it came from being alone on the road.

In the early 2000s, I spent two years backpacking around the world, traveling through 37 countries across Europe, Africa, Asia, and the South Pacific. Along the way, I had a realization that stayed with me: I could count the number of Black travelers I encountered on two hands. In city after city, country after country, we were simply… missing.

Things have changed since then—thankfully. But when I returned home in 2005, I was clear about one thing: I wanted to help make international travel feel accessible, familiar, and intentional for Black travelers. Not as an exception or a trend, but as a natural extension of who we already are.

Booked & Busy Travel was born from that commitment.

Since then, I’ve led groups throughout  Europe, Africa, Asia, and the South Pacific, creating personalized experiences that balance culture, comfort, curiosity, and joy. My approach is shaped by years of travel, deep cultural fluency, and the belief that seeing the world expands how we see ourselves.

That’s the spirit behind every trip we take.
